I took the day after my birthday off so that I could actually run errands (like do laundry). I was craving for a croissant at Bien Cuit so I went and got a few then decided to make breakfast (brunch actually). I pretty much cooked whatever was in the fridge. So there were asparagus, Brussels sprouts, an avocado, fried egg and a croissant.
I’m starting to wonder if I’m getting tired of Brussels sprouts. I love them so much that I eat waaaaaaaay too many and waaaaaaaay too often. I may need to find another veggie to obsess with.
Yes, I should’ve ironed the sheet out but I kind of like the wrinkles.

A great find with Bonnie while on our way to have lunch at UMAMIcatessen in downtown LA. It’s a Banksy! Seriously…we need less parking lots and more parks.

On Tuesday I had a super great dinner at Allswell with great food, great drinks, great friends and a great birthday cake (made by Yeh herself). Thank you everyone for making this week so freakin awesome!

So how did you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? I spent the day with few friends eating pies of course. It was also a prelude to my birthday week celebration (yes…birthday week). Which ever pie you get at Four & Twenty Blackbirds make sure to get a dollop of fresh whipped cream and which ever pie you get….it will definitely be delicious. Though I do have my favorites and they are usually the chess pies. Always creamy, always good.

Where would I be without my friends on my own birthday? I probably be grumpy and alone and eating my dying asparagus. Birthdays do not have to be elaborate or showy. All you need are friends (and a boss) to surprise you with a container of breakfast items from an Amish Market. Then your boss goes out to buy you a Doctor Who mug, yeh! Then followed by an impromptu burger and fries eatin, beer drinkin and conversations filled with laughin. And it wouldn’t be a proper birthday without gettin some ice cream while huntin down Harry Potter because he’s shooting a movie in the neighborhood.
Things like these make me grateful for what I have and where I am at now.
